Ufo Sighting In Gresham Oregon On May 4Th 2013 Two Bright Starlike Objects Slowly Descending Towards The Horizon

I was riding my bike home from the Plaid Pantry on Eastman Parkway and Powell on the Springwater Trail and stopped at a bench. The bench faces due south with Walter's Hill directly in view. It was just barely dark, and I was looking at the stars and I noticed two star like objects slowly descending towards the horizon. They were a white orange and moved in perfect sync with one another. If you were to hold a pencil vertically at arms length with a light at each end, that's about how far they were from one another. The detail that caught my attention was the fact that both lights moved perfectly with the other. It was as if there was a long object with a light at both end. I am also an avid sky watcher and I know where the stars and planets are. These lights were moving rather slowly, and they were definitely out of place. I first thought maybe they were planes or maybe satellites, but they didn't move or have the light characteristics of either. I watched for a few minutes as both lights descended towards Walter's Hill. The bottom light disappeared behind the hill. Before the second light went behind the hill, it suddenly dimmed and then went out. I stayed on scene for another ten minutes or so, and nothing else happened. This is significant for me, because about a year ago, I noticed a similar phenomenon. Two star like objects appeared in the same area of the sky but did not move. They just glowed bright for a few minutes and then went out. Buzz Aldrin Interesting Choice Of Words

Thanks to our friends at "Open Minds" I saw an article in the Alaska Dispatch about Buzz Aldrin visiting a university in Alaska. The only line of interest to me in the article was in connection with one of the questions allegedly asked by students:- "Did he see a UFO? Probably not."

Now this line is arguably easy to dismiss to most people (especially those with no interest in UFOs!). Except that:-

* first the headline of the article is the strangely worded "Astronaut Buzz Aldrin mum on whether he saw a UFO" (shouldn't it have been "Astronaut Buzz Aldrin "keeps mum" on whether he saw a UFO"?) A cynical attempt to get more web-clicks? Bit of a con if you ask me as there is almost nothing on the subject in the article except the above two sentences;

* Buzz Aldrin has been quite outspoken in the past about seeing 'UFOs' - why be reluctant to discuss them now? I suppose if I were in Mr Aldrin's shoes, I would be getting fed up with all the UFO questions but these were students asking in this case. They can be forgiven for asking such a question and be more deserving of a (perhaps less vague) response. Perhaps he had to be on his 'best behaviour' in order to 'inspire' the students; and

* there's the annoying misuse of the initials 'U.F.O.' The question - if indeed it is quoted verbatim, and is not just lazy reportage - should have been "Did he see aliens/alien craft?" Technically if Mr Aldrin had seen objects in space that neither he (nor anyone else) could identify then these would have been UFOs. If he was saying that 'he didn't see a UFO' does that mean he saw nothing at all, or that whatever he did see was clearly identifiable?

Of course, only those present in the room with him know what Buzz Aldrin did and didn't say on the day. For those of us who weren't there, we are reliant upon unexceptional journalism to report the event - and as is almost always the case with the media - this means things are either inaccurately reported or taken out of context.

Or maybe I'm just being over-analytical and there was nothing of note to report anyway!

China Launches Yaogan 14 And Tiantuo I Satellites From The Taiyuan Launch Center

China successfully launched the remote-sensing satellite Yaogan-14 May 10, 2012 with a Long March 4B carrier rocket from TAIYUAN SATELLITE LAUNCH CENTER in the northern province of Shanxi.

The Yaogan-14 satellite will be used to conduct scientific experiments, carry out surveys on land resources, monitor crop yields and help with natural disaster-reduction and prevention. Late last month (April 29, 2012), the Chinese launched the a pair of navigation satellites, marking the first time a Long March 3B (Chang Zheng 3B) launch vehicle has been used for this kind of mission. Mountain Monsters Fakest Of The Fake Paranormal Shows

Who wouldn't trust what these fellas had to say?

My 7-year old son, God bless him, has recently taken an extreme interest in the paranormal, just like his dad. He's got a bunch of age-appropriate books on the subject, with Bigfoot and ghosts being his favorite phenomena, but finding appropriate TV shows for him to watch is tough. He loves "Finding Bigfoot "and" MonsterQuest", but some of the other shows (namely "Monsters and Mysteries in America") are way too scary for him, mainly due to the realistic recreations. Recently he's gotten into "Mountain Monsters", and I've had the unfortunate task of watching these episodes with him. Why unfortunate?

Look, I know that paranormal shows are embellished at best and blatantly faked at worst. And I've been diligent on reminding my son of such facts. Creative editing or downright hoaxing, the shows are meant to provide entertainment, and are not an accurate portrayal of investigating such phenomena. And my son gets it. While watching most of the shows, I can see his young brain working, his little bit of critical thinking where he tries to figure out what something "could" be, rather than what the show is blatantly telling us something is. But he also has a healthy dose of suspension of disbelief. For most of the shows. But with "Mountain Monsters", even the 7-year old is not fooled. Not for a minute.

I'm not even sure where to start with this show. The easiest criticism would be to mock the bearded Hillbillies who "investigate" the aforementioned monsters. But hey, I'm open-minded, and freely accept that backwoods hill folk can be good investigators. Unfortunately, these are not them. And of course most of the team members all have funny nicknames. The leader is John "Trapper" Tice. The rookie is Jacob "Buck" Lowe. Joe "Huckleberry" Lott runs around with a gun (not that that really differentiates him, but he doesn't seem to have a "thing"). William "Wild Bill" Neff builds the traps and spews Larry The Cable Guy quotes ad nauseam (he must hold the record for saying "Git 'er done!" the most times in a 44-minute span), with fellow trapper Willy McQuillian (I guess it would have made too much sense for "him" to be nicknamed Trapper?). Oh and some guy named Jeff Headley pretends to take notes in a tiny norepad while interviewing fellow illiterate hillbillies. Likable fellows they all seem to be, but they are not good investigators. Frankly, the show just perpetuates terrible stereotypes of the Appalachian people. If only that were where the problems ended Wild Bill, no doubt in the middle of saying "Git 'er done!"

I know the trend these days is for something exciting to happen on each episode of any given paranormal show. Remember when most episodes of "Ghost Hunters" had Jason Hawes saying they had no real evidence and couldn't call a place haunted? Yeah, I can barely remember either. Most episodes of "Finding Bigfoot" find the team hearing some sort of weird knocking or howling. But even these shows don't claim, in almost every episode, to have been touched or attacked by a Bigfoot. Oh no. Yet the "Mountain Monsters" team claims to have captured some of these creatures, most notably the chupacabra. Which was then freed from its cage (which was all wooden planks, obscuring the view of the elaborate puppet elusive creature captured inside) by none other than Bigfoot himself. I kid you not, the team claims, on video, in a very serious fashion, that the captured chupacabra let out a howl, which Bigfoot realized was a distress call, which prompted him to run to the rescue of his pet chupacabra. It was theorized that Bigfoot uses the chupacabras as "scouting dogs." I am not making this up. In another episode, in which they were hunting a black beast/devil dog sort of creature, they also concluded that Bigfoot was assisting his pet devil dog.

The evidence that is collected on the showgood God. Mostly-obscured puppets, special effects that would make folks at the SyFy Channel giggle, and "eyewitness" videos that are quite obviously faked, and not even with a tried and true gorilla suit. Maybe fur coats? I never thought a blobsquatch could ever looks so fake. Some of the alleged trail cam photos are so poorly PhotoShopped that they are jarring.

As for the actual investigations themselves, what can I say? I've seen these armed men (let me reiterate - armed men, like with hunting rifles and shotguns) get attacked by the supposed creatures they are hunting numerous times over numerous episodes, and yet I have not seen one shot fired yet. Hunters, an ex-Marine (so he says), and not one of them has ever taken a shot. Again, I know it's a fake show and all, but at least give me a somewhat plausible reason to suspend my disbelief. If you're using re-purposed Muppets and CGI from the early 90s, why not put some blanks in the guns?

Oh. And when they do find "evidence" of something, they get scared and leave. One episode (and again, I kid you not) shows the team stumbling upon what appears to be a Bigfoot burial ground. Just out in plain sight, on someone's property. Yes, complete with stone circles and 10-foot long graves. The team starts digging to find bones, I suppose, and then are scared off (so they run about 10 feet away from the burial ground, to go do their interviews) by some clearly faked howling. Then the show ends. They do not come back during the light of day, with, you know, actual scientists, or anyone useful for that matter. Again, points my 7-year old son found odd. In another episode, after "capturing" a chupacabra (and subsequently witnessing its rescue by Bigfoot), the team just shrugs their shoulders and moves on. No suspension of disbelief here. I just can't believe Destination America is airing this.

If you like shows where stereotypical Hillbillies pretend to chase mythical animals who keep other mythical animals as pets, then this is the perfect show for you. But overall, this program is an all-out assault on the intelligence and sensibilities of any normally functioning, breathing human being over the age of 4. But it does give my son and I a lot of chuckles, so I guess because of it's absurdity, it is a bit entertaining. Or perhaps my IQ is dropping faster than I thought

DECEMBER 4 LAUNCH PLANNED FOR NOAA-J

A new satellite that will provide near continuous health
checks of planet Earth will be launched in early December.

NOAA-J, a joint project of NASA, the National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the U.S. Air Force, is
scheduled for launch at 2:02 a.m. PST on December 4, 1994.

The launch will be from Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA, aboard
an Atlas-E during a 10-minute window. The 3,775-pound (1,712-kg)
spacecraft will be launched into a 541-mile (870-km) orbit with
an inclination to the equator of 98.86 degrees.

From this vantage point, the new satellite will circle the
Earth every 102 minutes, passing over the North and South Poles
on each orbit of the planet. Like other NOAA satellites, NOAA-J
will collect meteorological data and transmit the information
directly to users around the world to enhance local weather
analysis and forecasting. In addition, the satellite data are
used for hurricane tracking and warning and for agricultural,
commercial fishing, forestry, maritime and other industrial uses.

The satellite, to be known as NOAA-14 in orbit, will carry
seven scientific instruments and two for Search and Rescue (SAR).

The scientific instruments include the Advanced Very High
Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR); the Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet
Spectral Radiometer Mod 2 (SBUV/2); a suite of three sounding
instruments consisting of the Stratospheric Sounding Unit (SSU),
the High Resolution Infrared Radiation Sounder (HIRS/2I), and the
Microwave Sounding Unit (MSU); and the Space Environment Monitor
(SEM) and Data Collection System (DCS).

The AVHRR, built by ITT, is a scanning radiometer used for
remotely determining cloud cover and surface temperature. The
SBUV/2, built by Ball Aerospace, is a spectrally-scanning
radiometer for measuring solar irradiance and backscattered solar
energy.

The SSU, built by Matra Marconi in Great Britain, will make
temperature measurements in the upper atmosphere. The HIRS/2I,
built by ITT, detects and measures energy emitted by the
atmosphere to construct vertical temperature profiles from the
Earth's surface to an altitude of 25 miles (40 km). The MSU,
built by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA, detects
and measures microwave energy (allowing it to see through clouds
to the Earth's surface) from the troposphere to construct
atmospheric vertical profiles to an altitude of 12 miles (20 km).

The SEM is a multichannel, charged-particle spectrometer
that measures the population of the Earth's radiation belts and
the particle precipitation phenomena resulting from solar
activity. The SEM was built by LORAL (Ford-Philco)/NOAA Space
Environment Laboratory.

The DCS, built by Serge Desault of France, collects relevant
data from buoys, free-floating balloons and remote weather
stations and retransmits the information to ground stations. The
ground stations send it to a Centre National d'Etude Spatials
(the French space agency, CNES) central processing facility in
France where processing is completed. From there, it is
distributed to users and is stored on magnetic tape for archival
purposes.

The SAR equipment is part of an international search and
rescue program known as COSPAS/SARSAT. Primary participants in
the humanitarian program are Canada, France, Russia and the
United States. In operation since September 1982, the program is
responsible for having saved more than 3,900 lives.

The SAR instruments onboard are the Search and Rescue
Repeater (SARR), built in Canada by SPAR, and the Search and
Rescue Processor with Memory, built in France by Serge Desault.

NOAA-J will join four other NOAA satellites in polar orbit.
They are NOAA-9, launched in December 1984; NOAA-10, launched in
September 1986; NOAA-11, launched in September 1988, and NOAA-12,
launched in May 1991.

NOAA-11 is the primary operational afternoon satellite, and
NOAA-12 is the primary operational morning satellite. NOAA-J is
scheduled to replace NOAA-11 as the primary afternoon satellite.

NOAA-13, launched in August 1993, suffered a power failure
12 days after launch, and all attempts to command the spacecraft
have been unsuccessful.

The NOAA-J spacecraft was built by Martin Marietta/Astro
Space, Princeton, NJ. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center,
Greenbelt MD, is responsible for the construction, integration
and launch of the satellite. Operational control of the
spacecraft moves to NOAA after it is checked out on orbit.

The Atlas-E launch vehicle was built by General Dynamics
(recently acquired by Martin Marietta). The U.S. Air Force
manages the Atlas-E program and the Vandenberg Air Force Base
support efforts.

Alien Saves Town From Huge Fireball Or Ufo Crash

The fall of a huge fireball has shocked and terrified the people of a small Maya Town in Ichmul,Southern Yucatan.On Sunday at 8:30 pm, 2013, while the locals were waiting to see a circus show, a massive boom was heard followed by a huge fireball. The sound was so loud it shook the ground and shattered windows,

"It was just like an earthquake" one witness stated.

"As we watched the fire fall from the sky, all the power in our town went out, and all we could see was this huge ball of fire in the sky, the whole town was terrified, we thought we were going to die."

The fireball impacted just outside the town, destroying a few small buildings and melting several power lines, no one was reported hurt in the incident.

Local police and some residents who attended the crash site, recovered pieces of burnt debris from the scene, including several melted objects which look mechanical in nature.

The most interesting find was a charred humanoid figure, roughly 12 inches in height, with a head, two legs and two arms.

Some locals believe this was possibly an Alien ship intercepting a meteorite that was headed for their town.

ONE WITNESS STATED:

"We do not fear the sky people, they have come here for many centuries, watching over us and protecting us from such things, all our ancestors talked about them."

"I think this little creature gave his life to protect our town, it saved our people I think."

Local officials quickly sealed the area off with cordons and police guards, until a full investigation into the incident had been completed. A substantial amount of debris was also taken for analysis by local law enforcement officials, who also urged the towns people to stay away from the impact site, claiming a possible risk of contamination from radioactive materials.

They said, "Mr Padrick, you are a real lucky person.... these craft that come down here are real hostile, and you had no business even approaching them. Ufo No Longer Unidentified

UFOs aren't necessarily alien spacecraft. And some purported UFOs aren't UFOs at all. Take the example from Apollo 16.

Beginning their return from the moon to an April 27, 1972, splashdown, Astronauts John Young, Thomas Mattingly and Charles Duke captured about four seconds of video footage of an object that seemed to look a lot like Hollywood's version of a spacecraft from another world.

The thing was described as "a saucer-shaped object with a dome on top." The images were captured with a 16mm motion picture camera shooting at 12 frames per second from a command/service module window. The object appears momentarily near the moon. As the camera pans, it moves out of the field of view. It reappears as the camera pans back. It appeared in about 50 frames.

Some very bright people recently worked hard to analyze that footage. Their conclusion was that the object wasn't at all what some observers thought it seemed to be. There is no indication the Apollo 16 crew ever thought the film showed anything special.

A group headed by Gregory Byrne of Johnson Space Center's Image Science and Analysis Group completed a report on its investigation earlier this year. They used a video copy of the film initially, then did a high-resolution digital scan of the original film for detailed analysis

They stabilized images to correct for camera movement, and then aligned multiple frames in a sequence. One thing that showed them was that the object appeared to move slightly with respect to the moon, because of parallax brought about by slight camera motions and the nearness of the object to the camera.The investigators also combined several frames in a sequence, to give them higher resolution and greater contrast than individual frames. The combinations showed them more clearly a "linear feature" attached to one side of the object. They also looked at archived images from other Apollo missions.Bottom line: "All of the evidence in this analysis is consistent with the conclusion that the object in the Apollo 16 film was the EVA [spacewalk] floodlight/boom. There is no evidence in the photographic record to suggest otherwise."

He had gone to his van to leave the psychic fair. Sitting in his van he thought about the book. Should he go back and buy it or not. With big decisions in his life he listens to his inner voice to nudge him yeh or ney. It was yeh. He came back and bought the book.That was my first introduction to Jim Van Avery.After reading the Plieades book Jim called me and asked about the Billy Meier's case. I told him I had several videos on it if he would like to see them. He asked if he could come over and look at them at my house.I always felt "the boys upstairs" had sent Jim to me. Jim has been very helpful to the UFOCCI. He soon attended his first meeting. That was the last meeting that Dan attended.Jim became very interested in the phenomena behind the abduction cases. His particular interest was the out of body phenomena, or OBE. He has just about every book written on that particular subject.Jim is a digital design electronic engineer. That night one of the members saw a UFO out over the desert near the power lines.I decided that Jim should have an active part in the UFOCCI. At a UFOCCI Board Meeting we voted to install him as Associate Director to the overall organization.At the 1987 Jorpah Jim acted as Master of Ceremonies, proving to be adept in every department. He also recorded the Jorpah on video tape on his Pansonic video camera.Some of the unusual events that happened at Jorpah have previously been described, however, there are a few highlights that I would like to tell you about.In 1985 we decided to put on a play for the entertainment night. The play was about a Star Master in charge of representatives from different planets in our solar system.The Canadian UFOCCI group was invited to be in the play also. This led to a problem. All of the members in Seattle had many play practices but the members in Canada only had their scripts. They would have to fit into the play on the appointed night without any practice.The star of the show was Ralph Blasbalg, from Vancouver, BC, who played the Star Master. Each person had designed their own costume, as had Ralph. Some were unique and deserved prizes for their innovatiness. Ralph was truly the star. When he came into the lodge everyone went into hysterics laughing. Ralph wore black leotards, a long white cloak down to his thighs, and a crown and scepter. Every time he talked the crown lit up. As he tiptoed in he kept raising his cloak in a little dance step.You would have had to be there to appreciate the play. The actors laughed more than the audience. I don't think anyone remembered their lines.The person who played the Blue Marble World Representative was just as funny as Ralph. Ron Chaput who is about 6'3" and weighs around 250 came in a dress made out of aluminum foil; a wig of yellow, blue, pink and green and his face painted blue.By the time the play was over,, it resembled nothing as it was originally intended. There will never be anything to replace that play.At the 1987 Jorpah we were all hoping to see something. Most of us were in bed around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday evening. I was sleeping beside our assoicate director from Virginia Beach, mainly because someone broke their leg the previous year getting out of the top bunk in the middle of the night. All of a sudden someone outside started yelling UFO, UFO. I woke up with a bound - straight over Barbara Nielsen - in my sexy red nightgown, without shoes, or robe, I flew out the door. People were running out of their cabins from all over the grounds to the parade ground situated right in the middle of Camp Long.As we got down to the open space of the parade ground everyone was looking to the northwest portion of the sky. A pink lighted ribbon like object was traversing the sky going to the southwest. As it moved along it changed shapes but was consistent in its movement. As we watched the letters I- L - V - U were made in the sky.There were approximately 25 people who had assembled, all jumping up and down and hugging each other. Of course, I was freezing because of my red nightgown. It was the most exciting point of the Jorpah (the ufo). That was when I realized I didn't have anything on except my nightgown!Of course, on Saturday evening at the entertainment portion the men were very excited! Lozanna Elwood, my daughter from New York City, hired her previous ethnic dancing group she used to be a member of to dance for us. Most of them were belly dancers. One theater dancer performed a dance called "Metamorphosis." It was very unusual. The dancer came out in a gold mask, a tall black feathered head dress, and a black caftan. As she danced she slowly removed both the head dress and the caftan revealing a very unusual costume of fringed beads on a body suit. The music was exotic to accompany the dance.In 1986 I flew to New York City to visit my daughter. I made arrangements before I left home to visit Budd Hopkins in New York City. My daughter and I visited him one afternoon in his apartment. Budd was very hospitable. He told us about a well known writer that was writing a book on his abduction. It was Whitley Streiber. However, at the time he would not reveal who it was. I presented him with a book of past "Missing Link" newspapers and he gave us a tour of his studio to see his unusual art pieces.In 1987 Budd came to Seattle to be on the Good Morning program at KING TV. A group from our organization were on the program also. Several of us were able to talk about what had happened to us personally.After the show we went to lunch with Budd. He told us about many interesting cases he was working on and we exchanged a few of ours. Basically we wanted to listen to what he had to say.At that time he gave us a copy of his "Kit" he presents to contactees. It is in total opposition to what our organization stands for. I am wondering what is the basis behind his views.The Kit explains to the contactee that he/she should not join any UFO group; that they should stay to themselves but find a buddy they can discuss their hypnosis with but not their case. This seems like an attitude without compassion for the person.Our organization was founded because the witness had no one to discuss what happened. Parents, spouses, peers had no inkling of what a contactee goes through. Therefore, in many cases they sought pychiatric help for the family member because they personally were unsable to cope with the trauma exhibited.When contactees come together they are able to discuss their unusual events with each other. At that time they find there is nothing at all wrong with their minds because others have had the same experiences. Through this interaction they feel much better about themselves and are able to integrate this into their everyday life.Similarly other "pseudo" scientific investigators have been less than scientific, or compassionate, in their dealings with abduction cases. In follow up calls after very good cases we have found either the investigator never came to talk with the person at all, or the investigator had preconceived ideas about what happened and never followed up on some of the best cases that we have encountered. In the meantime the person was left wanting.To my sense of justice this is the most outrageous injustice. Whenever possible I try to help these people understand what has happened without interjecting my own thoughts into the case.To describe what I mean I will give you an example of several "good" cases that MUFON neglected. The first one took place on November 12, 1987 in Baker, California.
