Oregon Ufo Sighted Same Day As Russian Meteor Blast
In all of the amazement and excitement over the passing asteroid and meteor blast in Siberia, a UFO sighting in Oregon has gone mostly unnoticed. Heather Scherffius and Gregory Soldner, both residents of Grants Pass in Oregon, saw a mysterious light in the sky at around 10:30 p.m. on Feb 15. Anchorman Kyle Aevermann, of NBC affiliate KOBI-TV5, told Huffington Post via email that,"Both Greg and Heather described the object as metallic, occasional blinking lights and moving at angles they have never seen any aircraft or object move before," he went on to say "They claim it moved at 90-degree angles. It's very hard to tell in the clip because they weren't using a tripod and the clip itself wasn't the best quality since it was filmed on their digital camera."Here is that video:Both witnesses described the UFO as a metal disc but both also admit that they do not believe in flying saucers. The UFO showed classic tendencies of sightings, including being stationary for an extended period of time then moving sporadically in a zig zag pattern, which would mean the UFO is not a man made aircraft. "It was there like 20 to 30 minutes, and then it was gone," Scherfiuss said. A few things to note is that meteors were later reported in Cuba and San Francisco on the same day, as well as the strange jelly-like substance that was found in one UK forest. Though the jelly has been written off as frog secretions of some kind, the timing is rather funny. Still, the news station reports that they used a digital camera which is kind of hard to believe considering the horrible quality of the video. For the initial KOBI-TV5 report, click here.
