From aliens to men in black, flying saucers and unearthly lights, 'UFOlogists' gathered to make an announcement their stories and theories at the inaugural Cardwell UFO Extravaganza.

The festival featured alien attire design workshops, interactive displays on the foreshore and a forum for country to make an announcement their experiences of unexplained phenomena.

Cardwell 150 co-ordinator Thea Ormonde says the town's 150th partying gave them an hazard to trial remarkable dealings that could compel to touchstone type on the Cardwell calendar.
