Ufo Sighting Kansas City October 2011

Thank you so much for all of your recent submissions for UFO sightings in Kansas City 2011, out of all of them, we liked the photo we received to the left of a UFO spotted and photographed in the area of highway 50 and 291 highway near Lee's Summit. It appears to be either one large craft with several lights and sections, or several small craft in formation. Either way this was a great photo of the UFO sighting, looks like they almost didn't get the camera out in time! We did not use any formatting on this photo - we left it as is.

UFO sightings in Kansas City increased exponentially in October 2011 with nearly 300 sightings reported in the Kansas City, Lee's Summit and Raytown areas in particular. Most sightings were reported between 6pm and 8pm, and there were several different types of UFOs spotted. We have had sightings of large, looming, dark craft that hovered hundreds of feet off the ground in plain sight just off the highway above traffic below, and then suddenly whoosh off into the night sky at speeds of over 500 miles per hour and completely disappear from sight. We have had UFO sightings that were comprised of several smaller craft flying in formation that had green lights and what might be described as yellowish "windows" on top flying right along a deserted road in the rural areas of Raytown.

Many UFO sightings were reported but the most by a landslide were reported in October. For some reason, the aliens decided to visit Kansas City in October this year. We're not sure what the correlation might be, but this October was hot with UFO sightings all around the KC area. In a previous UFO sightings in Kansas City report we noted that most of the sightings occurred between October 3rd and October 7th, and most of them near Lee's Summit, MO. We were actually on the phone with one couple who was traveling down 470 highway when they spotted a small formation of strange triangular aircraft, flying about 1000 feet in the air to the East of the highway, heading North toward downtown. The couple said that the craft were small triangles with blue and almost silver colored lights that blinked on and off in a pattern of sorts. After about 30 seconds in sight, the little triangles disappeared into the night in a blast of what they described as "light speed". This was on October 7th, 2011, at around 7:30pm, about the time that we decided that we had better start reporting these sightings in the news. Hi Brian, It was nice to hear from you. It's a funny thing you know that every time I hear or read about UFO sightings, I wish I would have reported it to someone at the time I saw whatever it was. I pulled out some old records, I believe it was late August or mid September 1985.

You see I worked for Lyle Gold and Sons Logging and being that I live in the Nass Valley, I used to travel the back road to Cranberry Junction and from there down the highway towards Stewart to the old Vandike Logging camp every Sunday night.

I had a 1980 Ford F-I50 short box pick up truck. It had no canopy so my visibility was excellent. It was a real nice night, the sky was clear, yet it was dark more like 9:00 p.m. or 9.30 p.m. I remember now because I used to leave the Nass camp at around 8:00 p.m. I was roughly five to eight miles from reaching Vandike Camp.

I was three quarters of the way down this very long straight stretch and I caught a glimpse of this light in my upper front window rear view mirror. I noticed that the light came down at an angle from the Nass river side of the highway like in an "S" like motion, but it was a long way back, about as big as this dot on the paper (pencil sized full stop).

It started at the beginning of the straight stretch like it came down and aligned itself with the pavement and if you count to five that's about how long it took to catch up to me going 90 kilometers per hour.

It came right up within ten feet in the passing lane of tail end of the pickup. I had a really good look at it in my rear view mirrors and I even turned my head and looked at it. It was a single light about four feet round and was within inches of touching the pavement, very close. I was trying to see if I could see some mass or structure behind the light but I didn't see anything. I was going to wave at it by sticking my hand out of the window but I chickened out.

By looking straight into the light it was weird. It was like looking at the moon. The light did not shine or light the highway up. It was a light within itself. After watching the light and watching the road I looked back and it was gone. Then a car came around a corner in front of me.

I don't know why but I didn't tell anyone in the camp what I saw when I got there. But the very next morning there was five of us guys going to work in a crew cab going back the same way I had came to camp that night. We worked 15 or so miles back down the highway from the camp. It was about 6 a.m. just daylight. It was going to be a very nice day, the sky was a deep morning blue and there was a gray cloud hanging just above the Nass River. It was only as wide as the river and about a kilometer long.

I wasn't driving so I was admiring the beauty of this long gray cloud and all of a sudden there was a blue explosion in that cloud. It was the same deep blue as the sky and it was a loud explosion too. I saw all of the blue go out from the explosion and like a magnet it got sucked back into itself and I watched the blue come out of the cloud like a blue worm.

It stretched out like an elastic band and like you would let go of that band it shot down the Nass River at a super high speed. I noticed when the head of the blue came out of the clouds there was no ship or structure it was like blue mercury or something liquid (very strange).

The guys next to me were shocked when it exploded though they were watching the road and didn't get to see what I did. They said what in tarnation was that ! All I could say was "I don't know".

I don't know why but I never did tell them what I had seen the night before. I just took it in as a blessing because not too many people get to see something like that. I don't know what it is. I can only tell you and draw a picture of what I saw. It could be right there in front of you and you wouldn't know it. A true master of surprise it is.

The first drawing shows the position on the highway of the truck in regards to the object. The second diagram is one of the truck and the object in relation to the highway and Nass River.

I would like to thank the two witnesses for their reports.

Update:

Investigators Note: The above told me he was driving with other co-workers in a truck when a deep morning blue and there was a gray cloud hanging just above the Nass River. He also mentioned there was a blue explosion in that cloud. Well this witness had looked up one of the co-workers who he was driving with that day, and asked if I would be able to talk to him about what he saw. I called a really nice gentleman who gave me his report to what he saw that day.

Witness #2's report - This fellow told me he had not seen or heard from witness #1 for sometime. This fellow reported that there were still an other in the pick up truck at the time of this sighting, but sadly the third man has now passed away.

He conformed that this did take place up on the Cranberry by Derek Lake (he believes) and they had been staying in the Lyle Gold and Sons Logging Camp. He also confirms that a strange gray cloud in a completely clear blue sky when he also seen the weird blue light which came out of the cloud with a tail at one end of it. These men watched the blue light move slowly along until it seemed to just explode.

So we have two witnesses now to this sighting.

The witness drew two diagrams which I have placed below showing the object in relation to himself.

In my first book, "A Covert Agenda" - which was published in 1997 - I made mention of a small (but nonetheless intriguing) body of evidence pertaining to the collation and investigation of UFO data on the part of the sprawling Government Communications Headquarters at Cheltenham, England - a body with the daunting and massive task of secretly collecting and analyzing intelligence data by all manner of sources: telephone-monitoring, email interception, spy-satellites, and more.

Moreover, GCHQ works hand in glove with the United States' National Security Agency - an agency with a rich history of involvement in the UFO puzzle. Second, on more than one occasion reports have surfaced relating to the sighting of UFOs over the GCHQ complex itself. To illustrate this, on 29 March 1996, two security guards assigned to the facility viewed during the early hours of the morning a silent, brightly-lit object that over-flew their heads while they patrolled the base.

"We just looked at it," said one, adding, "We weren't frightened. We were just amazed."

The other concurred: "I have never seen anything like it before in my life. It was travelling very fast. It definitely was not a plane."

The response from Government Communications Headquarters when the media latched on to what had occurred was tight lipped: "No doubt they did see something but I couldn't say what it was," was the carefully worded response from a GCHQ spokesman. At the time that I wrote "A Covert Agenda", little more of substance had surfaced with respect to the events in question; however, behind the scenes, major concern had been expressed on the part of senior staff within GCHQ, something which resulted in stern words delivered to the witnesses - as will now become readily apparent.

Robin Cole - a Cheltenham-based researcher who spent much of the mid to late 1990s digging into the GCHQ-UFO issue - has been able to shed further and much welcome light on the 29 March 1996 UFO encounter reported by two GCHQ security guards. And to mention the disturbing aftermath.

In an interview with me, Cole said: "Both of the guards were so convinced by what they'd seen that they went to "The Citizen" - this is the local newspaper that covers the Gloucester area - and reported it. Well, the papers went on to publish their names and the fact that they were security guards at GCHQ. Normally, people who work at the base just say that they're civil servants, because they don't want to be associated with GCHQ publicly."

Cole says he "...didn't make too big a deal out of it," but "...did try and look into it all a bit deeper."

It so happens, Cole explains, that a member of a local UFO group he was attached to "... knew one of the security guards and another member used to work at GCHQ as a security guard and knew the other one. Well, they then subsequently invited the two of them around for tea and got on to talking about UFOs - as you do!"

Basically, adds Cole, when the article in "The Citizen" appeared the two guards made a statement to his - Cole's - colleagues along the following lines:

"We were both hauled in before our superiors the following morning and we were told that what we had seen was the "Mir" Space Station, and that we were to drop it unless we wanted to face severe action. You know how it is at GCHQ; they're all paranoid. But we know deep in our hearts that this was not a space station. It was far too low in orbit and it just came over and stopped. It was there for several minutes and was then joined by a second light. The one then seemed to drop down quite low, and as soon as it started dropping, the pair of them just shot off. And we know it wasn't "Mir"."

As this case - just one of many - demonstrates, it's not only the general public that is encouraged to stay silent when UFO events occur. Even those in the employ of government face the wrath of officialdom when daring to speak out about their UFO experiences...
