ABOUT 1:30 PM, THE KENTUCKY STATE POLICE BEGAN GETTING PHONE CALLS FROM ANXIOUS CITIZENS REPORTING THE SIGHTING OF A LARGE, CIRCULAR OBJECT. THESE SIGHTINGS BEGAN OVER THE CITY OF MANSVILLE, BUT SOON SPREAD TO IRVINGTON AND OWENSBORO.

CREW INVESTIGATES OBJECT:

OPERATORS IN THE CONTROL TOWER OF GODMAN AIR FORCE BASE WERE ALERTED TO THE SIGHTING REPORTS, AND THEY WERE ABLE TO CLEARLY OBSERVE THE UNKNOWN OBJECT. THEY DESCRIBED IT AS BEING EXTREMELY LARGE, WHITE IN COLOR, AND ROUND WITH A RED LIGHT ON ITS BELLY. THE OBJECT APPEARED TO BE MOVING SYSTEMATICALLY, YET SLOWLY TO THE SOUTH. ABOUT AN HOUR AFTER THE FIRST SIGHTING REPORTS WERE MADE, MANTELL AND HIS SQUADRON WERE RADIOED TO CHECK OUT THE MYSTERIOUS UNKNOWN OBJECT.

CLIMB TO 15,000 FEET:

ONE OF MANTELL'S THREE ACCOMPANYING PLANES REQUESTED, AND WAS GRANTED PERMISSION TO CONTINUE HIS ORIGINAL FLIGHT PLAN. MANTELL AND TWO FLIERS WOULD NOW PURSUE THE GIANT UFO. GODMAN TOWER RADIOED THE COORDINATES OF THE LAST KNOWN LOCATION OF THE UFO AS MANTELL AND THE TWO OTHER PLANES BEGAN THEIR CLIMB TO 15,000 FEET. WHEN HE REACHED THE KNOWN POSITION OF THE UFO, HE RELAYED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT TO THE TOWER.

CLIMBING INTO THIN AIR, AND LOW ON OXYGEN, TWO OF THE FLIERS TURNED BACK FROM THE HIGHER ALTITUDE. NOW ONLY MANTELL WAS LEFT TO FIND OUT JUST WHAT THIS ENORMOUS, UNKNOWN OBJECT MIGHT BE. FINALLY, HIS PLANE LEVELED OFF AT 30,000 FEET. INVESTIGATORS SURMISED THAT HE WAS OUT OF OXYGEN, AND PASSED OUT IN THE THIN ATMOSPHERE. IN THE SPAN OF 1/2 HOUR, THE SIGHTING REPORTS STOPPED OVER KENTUCKY, BUT THEY DID BEGIN IN TENNESSEE. THE CRASH MADE MAJOR NEWS SOURCES.

10 31 1999 Ufo Sighting Cainta Rizal

It was on October 31, 1999 at 9:00 pm when i sense that there is something coming from the skies and it was a strange feeling.. so from my curiosity i went outside our house and to my surprise i saw 11 oval orb-like light formations blinking in red and orange colors circling each other as it passes just a kilometer or in a very low altitude just like a plane landing in a runaway as it cruised just above the roof of our home.I immediately called my parents and my younger brother and together we witnessed the said sighting. And honestly we saw it coming towards our street.The UFO's just went on their distance until they disappeared to our sight. Since then i automatically believes in UFO's and extra terrestrial phenomenons. It happened so long ago but it still lurks in our memories-those light formations.During that time we don't possess video or a camera so attached with this report is my hand sketched drawing of what i saw. When the movie "Sightings" starred by Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix.. the part of the scene when Joaquin Phonenix saw the same light formations we witnessed in the news he was watching. When you tube came along i searched other experiences and my whole curiosity about the history and origin about UFO's took place.

It all started in the summer of 1956. I just went side to play. I was the side of the house and I just happen to look up and see this large silent craft moving just at tree top level not making a sound.it was moving towards me slowly then stopped just over me. On the bottom of the craft there was a large plasma looking ring. It was very bright, and moved like liqiud in a clockwise direction.so I just looked up and started at it. Then while I looked up at the craft I started getting lighter. As I started to lift up I thought it was neet until I was about 10ft or so in the airtheni began to panic. Say please don, t drop me.then I passed out I guess, the next thing I rremember I am laying on this table, or it looked liked like one. There was movement all around me but everthing seem blurry. There no color to anything it was all gray. The creatures around me were a grayish color but thats all remember. There was this metal arm that came toward my face like they were going to put something in me I said to them that that would hurt me and then I heard a voice say it won, t hurt or I thought I heard it my head maybe not sure. Then all I remember was that iwas back on the ground, by the house so I went into the house I guessm by the way there was no beam of light when I was lifted up. The next morning it s Sunday and I was sick all.

Major Ufo Convention Returns To The Phoenix Area This Month

The International UFO Congress, the largest annual UFO conference in the world, will be celebrating its 22nd year this February 2013 in the Phoenix area. The International UFO Congress is a leading organization for the research and documentation of UFOs, the search for extraterrestrial life, and related information.

The conference will be held at the Fort McDowell Resort and Casino February 26th - March 3rd. It begins on Tuesday the 26th with the EBE Film Festival, an all-day event which is free to the public and features various UFO and related films. Conference presentations begin the following day. Conference admission will be sold in packages for those many guests who make a week of the event, along with `a la carte options available for those who just want to check it out for an afternoon. Arizona students will receive a 40% discount when they present a valid student ID at the door. The vendor room, film festival, and skywatch are free and open to the public.

The conference will feature more than 20 speakers and wide variety of exhibitors from around the globe, and covers a large variety of topics related to the UFO phenomenon including sightings, technology, government cover-ups, exopolitics, black projects, crop circles, alien visitation, space, and more.

Panel presentations on Ancient Aliens, Investigating UFOs, and Ufology in the 21st Century will feature authors, researchers and TV personalities and provide the audience a chance to interact with speakers and ask the pertinent questions.

We have many things in the past that can not be explained by our teachers, professors, and educators. Ufo Sighting In California On September 22Nd 2013 Bright Fire Ball Coming From Ne Heading W Stopped Hovered

I was in my room when I looked out the window (window faces east) when I noticed a bright red-ish light moving pretty fast (speed of a helcopter is closest I can describe it as). I ran outside and watch it pass behind trees that were blocking it from my view. It was coming from the east and moving west. It was hard to see distinguish distance but it was too bright and big to be a airplane. It was as bright as a plane with its lending lights on heading straight at me but it moving across the sky not facing me. When it cleared one more tree it stopped moving, hovered and after a minute it disappeared. It shrank until the light extinguished. It probably took like 3 secs to vanish. I didn't feel any fear the entire event. Before I ran outside I almost forgot to take my camera. I grabbed my iPhone but during the event all I could think about was about my DSLR camera in the house. I wanted to get that but while I was filming with my iPhone I didn't want to turn away I'm case I missed something. I also kind of figured that if I couldn't make out any details with my eyes then my camera wouldn't do much better. When I started filing it, it seemed to know what I was doing and stopped moving. That's when I thought to myself "holly crap, what if it comes my direction!" I stopped filming and a few seconds later it disappeared. As I submit the video I saw I took two pics. I don't remember taking pics during the event.

Even the chief of Gorbachev's garage, Mr. M. Volodin was unaware of the selected route.The next day all three "Volgas" returned all extremely dirty with mud up to their roofs. The speedometer of all the vehicles indicated an increase of 200 kilometers. Where they went remained unknown. All the participants of the trip remained silent.Otto Shamin from Taganrog who had close ties to the Moscow Party bosses and attempted to investigate the incident was told by his cousin an avid winter fisherman, that on March 17, he had gone fishing with some friends near the town of Mytiszi (northeastern suburb of Moscow) and on their way back at about 1500 hrs outside of the town they noticed three black Volga cars driving deep into the forest. Some time after that they saw two lar ge red globes descending from the sky in approximate the same direction. One and a half hour after that both globes ascended and disappeared into the sky.An important detail was noticed, during the whole time, there was a total electric blackout which covered the electric railroad between Moscow and Mytiszi. The railroad was completely disconnected from the main cities, and crowds of people waited on the platforms of the suburban stations. Others in the area also observed the red globes descending into the forest. Nobody was able to explain the cause of the electrical failure.At the beginning of April another man acquainted with Mr. Shamin who occupied a post on the CPSU Committee in the town of Zelenograd told Shamin that several days before a confidential letter (classified secret) was obtained by all CPSU Committees in the northern areas of the Moscow region. The letter said approximately the following:"In case you are questioned as to what happened with the electricity in your region on March 17 of this year, explain it as just a simple accidental power outage" it was signed, 'Gorbachev".According to some researchers it was possible to reconstruct the supposed contact or "meeting". The meeting (if it indeed took place) was planned in advance after Gorbachev in person covertly obtained the precise information about the exact time and coordinates in the form of an urgent alien invitation.Information probably included demands to meet with the head of the government himself (Gorbachev) and included exact data as to the individuals who must be present with him and who he was allowed to take with him. The total group probably included 3 drivers, and about 9 passengers in general only about 12 men. Full Description of event/sighting: I was stationed at Loring AFB during the UFO sightings. This is the first time I have seen something in writing about the incident. Thanks for all you do.

Hello Brian, I was a medic working at the hospital while all this was going on. I had a fellow airman I knew that told me about how his radar screen went crazy and how the tracking was really weird and impossible to be done with our current aircraft. A military police airman that I also knew told me about how he violently shook because while he was at his nuclear post a stationary bright light from above was shining on him. All he heard was "nothing". Another military police airman told me that he was being stationed along with some others as snipers around the base. I personally saw helicopter gunships and fighter aircraft during this time. Both of these type aircraft were not present before. Hope this is helpful. Thanks for all you do.

Ufo Sightings In United Kingdom

Someone from Austin commented to Rectangular-shaped UFO and alien encounter in Austin, with a sighting of their own that took place October 1, 2010, at approximately 10:00 p.m.

"I'm in Austin TX, I saw a giant black square craft over my house last night. Oct. 1st 2010 - around 10PM. Canadian Ufo Sighting Reports January August 2007

*HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO* together have received 293 written UFO sighting reports from January 1, up until August 27, 2007 and I am sure the total number will climb as we still have four months left in 2007. Not included in the total number of reports is approximately 26 telephone interviews which we done and the reports have not been written up as of yet, these would include sightings from British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta.

Ontario still leads the Canadian provinces with a whopping 140 reported sightings, followed by British Columbia with 81 cases.

Below is a break down on reports received by HBCC UFO Research and UFOINO from January 1, 2007 to August 27, 2007.

Total number of Canadian reported sightings so far for 2007 is 293 cases. Plus another 26 cases which have not been written up as of yet.

The sightings range from a spectacular meteor event over Ontario back in March of 2007, followed by a wave of unknown craft/objects. Stars and the planet Venus were another cause for some of the reports, the IS (International Space Station) and Space Shuttle played a roll as well. Also aircraft were reported as being a UFOs. To round things off, there were a few UFO sightings that did turn out to be balloons, but although many sighting were certainly explainable, there were some really amazing cases in which no answers could be found, and I am still looking for a rational explanation for some events.

One of the most amazing UFO events took place over the Kelowna, British Columbia region on July 2, 2007 where numerous eyewitness in different parts of Kelowna saw a cylinder shaped craft, with what looked like fins on it, and on fire, ripped down through the sky and finally hitting the water on Okanagan Lake, British Columbia. The sound was incredibly loud and like a deep bass "womp, womp, womp" sound as it came down. The same object then reappeared from where it hit the lake, rose up and then sat and hovered in the sky. Meanwhile a cone or "possible" triangular shaped craft was stationary a short distance away from the cylinder shaped craft. What took place next dumbfounded all of the people who had watched the event unfold, the two objects started reacting to one another, and the best description given from the witnesses was like looking at tracer fire from automatic weapons, or in other words it was like the two UFOs were shooting at one another. After a short time of exchanging what looked like the two craft were firing on one another, a loud bang was heard and the cone shaped craft was nowhere to be seen. The torpedo shaped object was still hovering in the sky. It started moving from side to side and then a loud sonic boom and it was now gone. Needless to say, some witnesses screamed loudly or when watching had their jaw almost hit the ground from watching such a unusual event unfold in front of their eyes.

A couple of other interesting things happened not long after this UFO battle. A NATO AWAC aircraft did a couple of fly-bys over the Kelowna airport, when Airport Operations Manager James Hall was contacted, he confirmed that the aircraft that flew over the Kelowna airport was indeed a NATO aircraft, a modified Boeing 707 AWAC. Mr. Hall also said that they were not privy to their (military) operations or plans. Numerous unknown helicopters were seen in and around the area, more than the normal helicopter traffic one would see in the area. Also CF-18 fighter jets were video taped leaving the Kelowna airport, but this certainly may or may not have anything to do with the UFO battle over Okanagan Lake. I guess we just keep an open mind to the chain of events and hope for a break in the case.

Other amazing cases came in from Ontario and other provinces as well. I would also like to note, the 293 reported sightings came into just *HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO*. There are many other UFO organizations across Canada and in the United States that are receiving Canadian UFO cases. So the total will be much greater for each of the Canadian provinces.

I couldn't even guess how many UFO reports were reported from the United States and other areas of the world. Most sightings do come into us from the United States and we are very happy to receive them, actually some of the best cases are coming from the U.S. and go back numerous years.

Sunday Orb Round Up

Is it Sunday again already? Grueling week, but at least it's over. Having the Fall crud doesn't help. Well, enough about me. Here's some links and items I hope you'll follow, because it's mostly all about me. (I know, I just contradicted myself.)

The blog doesn't completely ignore flesh and blood bigfoot, but the focus is on the paranormal, UFO and other high strangeness Bigfoot encounters from all over the world.

The Trickster is not Demonic

Stephen Yulish, a Christian UFO researcher and writer, wrote a piece inspired by my piece on Mary and Marian apparitions as Trickster manifestations. Yulish uses the terms Trickster and demonic interchangeably, and gives the impression I do as well.

I made it clear in this item on the OrangeOrb I do not consider the Trickster a "demonic" figure, not in a Christian framework, nor do I personally believe in the divinity of Christ, Mary, etc. I also do not consider the religious doctrine or a religion's text as proof, real, true, or factual. None of those things are things I "believe" in -- and specifically, not in a traditional, religious and mainstream way.

I need to make this very clear, for I write about the Trickster a lot. I do not intend for misrepresentations or misunderstandings of what I think about this topic to be perpetuated.

Exopolitics and New Age Personas

I make fun of exopolitics and what I call New Agey types a lot. Gentle fun, because I have to say, that with all of their naive and wrong headed approaches (at times arrogant) the intent of exo-politics is good. It can't hurt. New Age stuff, because, I'm sort of New Agey myself, but can't quite get there all the way. So much about them makes me laugh and at times, even creeps me out. And, so much of the New Age movement (remember, i live in Eugene, Oregon) is a strange combination of smug and naive. Superior and pretentious. Then again, I admit I experience frequent bouts of general malaise. Still, I am aware of my contradictory personality; I work with crystals, I mediate, I read cards, baby, I do a lot of witchy new age stuff. Hell, I even like purple.

All this is leading up to shameless self promotion: my next two articles for UFO Magazine are on these topics. The Purple Road discussed New Age perspectives and UFOs, and after that is a piece on the exopolitics movement.

Ufo Files The Battle Of Los Angeles

The Battle of Los Angeles is also known as The Great Los Angeles Air Raid, and is the name given by contemporary sources to the rumored enemy attack and subsequent anti-aircraft artillery barrage which took place from late February 24th into the early morning of February 25th 1942 over Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred less than three months after the United States entered World War II as a result of the Japanese Imperial Navy's attack on Pearl Harbor, and one day after the Bombardment of Ellwood on 23 February.

Initially, the target of the aerial barrage was thought to be an attacking force from Japan, but speaking at a press conference shortly afterward, Secretary of the Navy Frank Knox called the incident a "false alarm." Newspapers of the time published a number of reports and speculations of a cover-up. Some modern-day UFOlogists have suggested the targets were extraterrestrial spacecraft. When documenting the incident in 1983, the U.S. Office of Air Force History attributed the event to a case of "war nerves" likely triggered by a lost weather balloon and exacerbated by stray flares and shell bursts from adjoining batteries.

Air raid sirens sounded throughout Los Angeles County on the night of 24-25 February 1942. A total blackout was ordered and thousands of air raid wardens were summoned to their positions. At 3:16 am the 37th Coast Artillery Brigade began firing 12.8-pound anti-aircraft shells into the air at reported aircraft; over 1,400 shells would eventually be fired. Pilots of the 4th Interceptor Command were alerted but their aircraft remained grounded. The artillery fire continued sporadically until 4:14 am The "all clear" was sounded and the blackout order lifted at 7:21 am.

In addition to several buildings damaged by friendly fire, four to five civilians were killed by the anti-aircraft fire, and another three died of heart attacks attributed to the stress of the hour-long bombardment. The incident was front-page news along the U.S. Pacific coast, and earned some mass media coverage throughout the nation.

Within hours of the end of the air raid, Secretary of the Navy Frank Knox held a press conference, saying the entire incident was a false alarm due to anxiety and "war nerves". Knox's comments were followed by statements from the Army the next day that reflected General George C. Marshall's belief that the incident might have been caused by commercial airplanes used as a psychological warfare campaign to generate panic. Some contemporary press outlets suspected a cover up. An editorial in the "Long Beach Independent" wrote, "There is a mysterious reticence about the whole affair and it appears that some form of censorship is trying to halt discussion on the matter." Speculation was rampant as to invading airplanes and their bases. Theories included a secret base in northern Mexico as well as Japanese submarines stationed offshore with the capability of carrying planes. Others speculated that the incident was either staged or exaggerated to give coastal defense industries an excuse to move further inland. Representative Leland Ford of Santa Monica called for a Congressional investigation, saying, "...none of the explanations so far offered removed the episode from the category of 'complete mystification'... this was either a practice raid, or a raid to throw a scare into 2,000,000 people, or a mistaken identity raid, or a raid to lay a political foundation to take away Southern California's war industries.

In 1983, the Office of Air Force History concluded that an analysis of the evidence points to meteorological balloons as the cause of the initial alarm.

Many witnesses claim to have seen not meteorological balloons, but something else. Some witnesses lived right on the beach and say that the object was so close at one point before the shooting began, that they could reach out and practically touch it. Witnesses even claim that shortly after the incident, a squadron of planes appeared and searched the area over the ocean where it was believed the object that was shot down, landed. Naval ships were also reported in the same area.

Did the military find what it was they shot down? If so, why aren't they saying they did? What did they recover?

UFOligists say that this incident beats Roswell all to hell. Not just because this incident in Los Angeles occurred 4 years before Roswell, but for the fact that millions of people saw this lighted object and described it as moving intelligently on its own through the night skies.

But like Roswell, the military insists on covering this incident up. Meanwhile, those who were there know that they witnessed more than just a "Battle of Los Angeles" - they witnessed a real life "War of the Worlds".

In later investigations, it was shown that there were meteorological balloons in the area, however, experts have since come out and said that those balloons would have been to high up in the atmosphere for to be seen with the naked eye at night. Not to mention that after the shellacking that the military unleashed upon it, it would have been in complete shreds and floating on the ocean waters or washed ashore onto the sand in the early morning tide. No debris ever washed ashore.

So the speculation persists. Those who were there, including military officials, will tell you that something was flying in the skies that night. Officially, however, the military personnel will tell you it was a weather balloon. That same story (excuse) came in handy four years later at Roswell.

Two Circular Ufos With Red Lights In The Sky Over Marpole Area Of Vancouver British Columbia

Date: December 29, 2012Time: Evening.Hi Brian, I came across your site well seeing if anyone has posted about a sighting about 20 minutes ago over the Marpole area of Vancouver. We turned onto 71st Ave., from Granville and up in the sky were these two crafts. Living near the airport I knew right away they weren't airplanes as they were pretty much side by side. It was hard to tell the shape, maybe circular with red lights with almost a white beamish light under them. Definitely not airplanes. We pulled to a stop and I got my camera out, but they were already gone just like that. My fianc'e saw them as did two people on an apartment balcony that filmed it. When I asked what were they, they didn't know as well. The two gentlemen said they just seemed to come up out of the trees and continued to rise until they were gone. Ufo Sighting In Alameda

My wife came in from briefly stepping outside our home, she was rather excited and telling me to hurry outside and look.I saw a bright red oarnge object passing across our view about the speed or a airplane I assume color had no glare and made no sound, I fumbled with my phone to try and get a picture but lost sight over our home, I then ran to the street but the object was gone. We returned inside our home excited about what we just wittnessed and I decided I would go back outside hoping to catch another glimpse of this thing, I was having a cigarette looking at the mufon website when I noticed either the same or a very similar object to the nw of my view, I began to record video with my phone and yell for my wife my neighbor n heard the commotion and also wittnessed the object pass from nw to sw where it seemed to fade or dissapear. As the object faded I think I saw a grey /white possibly mettalic rectangular silhouette with a smaller square in center, that was the last I saw.my wife is very skeptical but is baffled at what this was.I myself have allways believed that humans are not the lone intelligent beings in this universe and allways look up hoping to see somthing, this is my first sighting of somthing I'm sure I can't explain and am more than happy to share.ps please excuse the crappy video I was rather excited and sorry for moving so much and the use of profanity.
